We will need you to list out the book and the page that you found the Gift. There are hundreds and hundreds of Gifts out there. We need to know what the Gift does and where it is coming from before we can approve your request.

We are waiving the need for a scene for level 1, 2 and 3 Gifts that are in tribe, breed, and auspice. However! If you are new to Werewolf, or have never had a Gift scene before and would like to request a scene, you may do so through the Requests Channel on Discord using this format:

Please take note that just because we are waiving the scene requirements for Affinity Gifts in Levels 1, 2 and 3, does not mean you do not need to post justifications. ALL requests require justifications (unless bought by Floor XP). Also post how exactly you are getting those Gifts.

Also note that certain Gifts require specific spirits to teach and these spirits may not be local to the setting. In which case, you would need a very strong justification and/or scene requirement to find said spirit. Summoning could be done… but it may be very expensive to do so…

There isn't exactly a limit to how many in affinity gifts you can learn besides the fact that you can only learn the Levels related to your Rank. However…

If the number of Gifts requested in one sitting exceeds half of your character's Gnosis rating rounded up, your character will suffer a -1 Dice Penalty to all mental rolls for the amount of days it takes to complete all the gifts in total (up to a maximum of 14 days).

For example:

• Bob has 3 Gnosis. Half is 1.5, so rounded up is 2.
• If Bob requests TWO lvl 1 Gifts in one sitting, he is fine.
• If Bob requests TWO lvl 2 Gifts in one sitting, he is fine.
• If Bob requests THREE lvl 1 Gifts in one sitting, he suffers the penalty for 9 days (3x3x3).
• If Bob requests THREE lvl 2 Gifts in one sitting, he suffers the penalty for 14 days (max).

For Out of Affinity, you can only learn [Rank rating] gift(s) per month. So a Cliath can only learn 1 OoA Gift per month while an Adren can learn 3 OoA Gift per month. The above restriction applies.

You will need to first make a Request using the format provided above, in the Requests Channel. We will then have you make a series of rolls (dependent on the Gift and the type of Spirit) to see if said Spirit would even bother to answer your call. Failure will mean you just need to try again another month. Botching will mean you have offended that particular type of Spirit. We don't recommend botching…

Further from that, you are required to spend [Level of Gift * 2 Gnosis] per Gift, to be paid to the Spirit teaching you. (This can be done all at once or over time. Please state which.)

• A really really good justification for acquiring it.
• Approval from a Werewolf ST.

Requires:

• Spending time with a PC or NPC of the Auspice the Gift is related to.
• A really really good justification for acquiring it.
• Approval from a Werewolf ST.

WARNING: You will take a renown hit if you're neglecting to fulfill the role of your own Auspice and start acting like the Auspice of the Gift you learned.

• Spending time with a PC or NPC of the Breed the Gift is related to.
• A really really good justification for acquiring it.
• Approval from a Werewolf ST.

Alternative Means of Fulfilling gift scene requirements: Due to time constraints on our ST team, you do have the option of discussing the chiminage for In Tribe/In Breed/In Auspice gifts at level 3 and 4.

These are still powerful gifts so the chiminage will require something of you for a lunar cycle or more (Which can be fulfilled via teahouse scenes in the discord or journal posts). The name of the game here is roleplay. If you're likely to learn the gift anyway, we can skip just the scene part so long as we can see you performing this chiminage (payment). Feel free to include your chiminage ideas for In Affinity level 3 and 4 gifts in your experience requests as a Quality of Life improvement.

It has come to our attention that White Wolf fucked up yet again with their inconsistencies. And so, to prevent confusion on our parts as well as our players' parts, these changes were made to make it clearer.

   • THE CHANGE MADE: We are changing the NAME to “Matrix Eyes” due to how the Gift works.
   • Why?: There is another Weaver's Eyes Gift in Book of the City that is specifically for Glasswalkers and works completely differently. They are two Gifts, not the same with a couple changes. Therefore, the decision was made to simply rename this Gift.

Universal Gifts Many gifts are locked behind tribal or auspice requirements, however, there are a few of these gifts that every Garou should know and therefore these gifts have been selected to be exempt from all Tribal or Auspice restrictions. However, the normal rules for learning gifts apply.
