The newest addition to the Jacksonville Skyline, the Percy One tower is 30 stories tall, making it the fourth tallest building in the city. Completed in June of 2021, the building was immediately rented out upon completion of its construction by multiple companies either based out of Gainesville or with a physical presence in the city.

The building's architecture is complete with a gleaming, space-age glass designed to both trap air inside of it while reflecting excess infrared light away from the building, which the building's commissioners claim will result in a drastic decrease in energy costs to keep the building air-conditioned in the summer. Combined with a series of cutting-edge 'solar micro-panels' lining the building's frame between the windows, and the result is a building the construction company claimed was the first of its kind: The first purely 'green' skyscraper with a projected net-zero carbon footprint. The building is very pretty to look at in the day, reflecting light but somehow never quite getting in anybody's eyes in a way that's painful or blinding, and at night, the building glows with soft, neon advertisements.

Business Tenants

The Goldfinger Group: A nation-wide financial group born from Goldfinger Insurance, it now encompasses everything from insurance to investments to financial consulting services.

The Goldfinger Group provides insurance services to almost every major business in Gainesville (with Green Energy Solutions being one notable exception), and has recently expanded its reach into Jacksonville. Popular LGBTQ+ nightclub Dante's Inferno is one of their clients. It's CEO is Jared Patterson. The group also lists one 'Ian Fleming' as one of its employees, in charge of its claims division. If he's efficient as his famous namesake, that's all we need to know.

IvoryCorp: A private security software company based in Gainesville, specializing in cybersecurity and military software. Their software can be found protecting critical infrastructure such as financial information, patient medical files, and corporate trade secrets. IvoryCorp has been known to provide scholarships for promising young students who seek a career in information technology. Despite this, however, it's developed a rather secretive reputation, leading to conspiracy theories about the company working alongside the U.S. Intelligence Community, most notably the National Security Agency.

Geneficient Technologies: Priding itself on being a 'green biotech' company, Genficient Technologies first came to prominence in the area following the mysterious illness affecting multiple child prodigies in Gainesville, and the company's very public attempts to find a treatment if not a cure. They later were the ones who helped to clean up the toxic waste spill outside of Gainesville by using their bio-engineered seeds that neutralized the toxic sludge on contact and converted it into usable fertilizer for their seeds. Represented by the photogenic, made-for-television Dr. Eddie Bells, the company has become a major presence in Gainesville, and is dedicated to revolutionizing multiple industries toward a 'green future.'

SB Couture: The haute-couture company of wunderkind fashionista Stacey Brahms, often referred to as the 'millennial Coco Chanel.' Quickly joining the ranks of fashion icons like Prada, Gucci, and Christian Dior before even graduating from university, Stacy Brahms has only recently begun to sell her creations in North America, setting up her first major corporate offices here in Percy One. Why she chose to do so here instead of New York City is still a matter for debate, but many believe the reason to have to do with a quote she gave to a journalist upon securing the lease for the office space: “My only regret in my career is not designing a stage outfit for V.V.” This mistake has since been corrected.

Building Amenities

1)

Percy One is almost a city-within-a-city, sometimes called 'the first true arcology in North America.' Boasting a supermarket, a pharmacy, multiple doctor's offices, a server farm, a fully-stocked gym, multiple restaurants, and even a movie theater, Percy One was built with the design philosophy of “Once you enter, you'll never want to leave.”

  • Floors 0 - 4: Movie theater, pharmacy, restaurants, supermarket, karaoke.
  • Floors 4 - 6 : Shopping mall; mainly clothing stores, with a few sporting goods stores, furniture and decor outlets, and media/entertainment stores.

  • Floor 8 - 9 : Doctor's offices (including a physical therapist's office), fully-stocked clinic.

The True Purpose

2)

Project: Perseverance is the first Amalgam authorized by Manager Tessa Anceldara of the Gainesville Symposium to operate more closely with the Starke Council. This collaboration has been hinted at by through ongoing communication with the Chantry's leader (Gregory Handel), but has not been made official yet. Their true mission is not currently known, save for the fact that the Amalgam has promised a level of cooperation comparable to the Continuum Study Chantry's collaboration with Void Engineers James Mathers and Violet Lombardi.

Floors 11 - 20 of Percy One, while officially listed as 'office space,' include 5 floors of a Technocratic Construct, hosting laboratories from all five Technocratic Conventions, as well a simulation room, a Hypertech Production Facility, and hypertech storage. Several basement floors also exist mainly used as parking or storage. (More details to be added; this page is a work in progress).

The building is heavily warded with the latest Technocratic Enlightened Firewalls. Details to be worked out later; assume that it is all but impervious to scrying or attempting to breach the perimeter via supernatural means.
