Physical Description: Human: 6ft tall, tanned skin, well-toned muscle, Heavier build, Under-cut with the sides shaved down and dyed bright red and orange. She has old burns on her legs and a large scar across her lower back. She has a spiraling pattern across her back with the mark of the Eshu hidden within it. On her arms is a spiraling pattern of red, orange, yellow, and black forming a pattern like flames. Often has her nails painted black.

Fae Mein: Dark tanned skin, long pointed ears, a billowing flame for hair, yellow cats eyes, a sprawling tentacle-like pattern around her eyes, and longer sharper teeth. Stands much taller than her human form. Her arms are burned black and cracked up to her shoulders where it spiders out and her fingers all have long silver claws. As she gets angrier her arms seem to spark. When she's angry long enough her arms start to burn and smolder. Her legs have a hatch mark pattern and her feet are dragonic in appearance with each toe tipped in silver talons.

Personality: Her emotions swing one way to another and then back again. She never smiles save around Korra whom she loves and did for a long time before they met.

Background: Kala was in a bad house fire when she was 11 and was badly hurt. She was burned and was confined to a wheelchair as the damage to her lower spine. Her family moved to a more remote location to give them privacy. One day when she was 14 when she went out and took a nap in a little wooded area on her family's property, she met an eshu, Who called herself Saheli, and they talked for a time. Saheli felt bad for the young girl telling Kala stories of the Fae to help her escape. One day Kala woke up in the dreaming and found she could walk again so she wandered for a time before Saheli found her and took her under her wing. She taught Kala everything shed need to know eventually helping her back. Despite being able to walk again she continued using her wheelchair to keep up appearances of her being crippled. At the age of 18, she moved away from her family and began to travel eventually settling in London for several years and began an art career. She got contacted to make the cover art for Korra's books and had done so for everyone and had been made so far. She came to Starke to see the stories play out and bring them to life. Her mentor and she had started a romantic relationship that lasted a short time before the two separated violently. This caused a tear between the two and though they remain associates they are very distant from one another.
