Character Name: David Halfstad
Concept: The Operator
Heritage: Mercurian
Backstory: Born on Mercury David came from a long line of precision operators and scientists. But he had one problem. He was big. Really big. On Mercury being big is bad. You take up more space, it's hard to get you proper safety gear, and research grants are less forthcoming. As such he was passed over for multiple advancements, promotions and research projects. Eventually he got tired of being discriminated against and took a tether ship and his last project with him to the asteroid belts to make what future he could for himself away from discriminatory practices and prejudice.
Personality: David is every bit as intelligent and cunning as any other mercurian, but has the brawn to go with the brains. He's got a gruff personality and a quick fuze to go with it.

Personality: Gruff - David gains a temp point of grit whenever his gruff personality manages to play in their favor.
Traits:
Big: David is a big guy, which is unusual in the belts. Being small is a blessing, you take up less air, less water, less food, less space. Big guys like him are scowled at and seen as taking up more than their fair share.
Hooks:
Wrap Sheet: David abandoned his work on Mercury, and what's worse he absconded with both a tethership, which he then sold to afford to set himself up in the belts, and his last project. A prototype plasma caster weapon. The Mercurians want him in chains.
Flaw:
Trigger(3): David has a trigger, he doesn't like being made fun of for being big. It was all he ever knew on Mercury, and he'll be damned if he lets people get away with it all the way out here.

Fool Logo Shipsuit - A combination of body suit and overclothes both in black with red trim and the Dowager's Fool logo on them. Given to each crew member upon accepting a contract to serve aboard the fool.
Fool Logo Bodysuit - Synthskin body suit with logos for the fool. The inside of the skin tight sleeves has reaction patches for various threats, and the logos discolor if exposed to radiation.
Dataslate - David wears a bracer on his right arm with a socket for his dataslate and several sockets for the various dataplugs he keeps on him. His dataplugs contain various charts and references for his hardpoints, as well as all of the research documentation for his Plasmacaster weapon mount.
