Backstory

Physical Description:
Human:
Hezekiah Crane is a tall man, standing 6'6“ with medium-length white hair parted in the middle, and a pale yet healthy complexion. He wears a black business suit jacket with silver buttons over a black, double-breasted, silver-striped vest, under which he wears a white collarless business shit. Black slacks are held by a black, leather belt with a silver, rectangular buckle. He also wears black pointed-toe, laceless dress shoes with reflective, chrome tips.
\\
Apocalyptic:
Hezekiah floats a few inches from the ground, now with pale, porcelain-like skin. His white hair is more moplike, and his eyes shine with blacklight, and between moments of shining, shift into non-glowing hues of black, purple, and deep, bloody crimson. He moves with otherworldly, silent grace, suspended from black raven's wings which span 3 1/2 feet.

Personality:
Hezekiah tends to keep to himself. He's quiet, but not necessarily reserved. Above all else, he's observant. He's watchful, both as a result of years of training, and from his perspective with Necriel in the driver's seat.

Backstory:
(Necriel)
Necriel's original purpose before the Fall was the death of mycellium due to competition with other fungi, what is often labelled as “contamination” by mushroom farmers. Necriel sided with the rebels when the conflict of orders had been made known, believing that the angels could not possibly love humans as much as they loved god if they were to allow them to wallow in ignorance and hide from them. When the rebel angels were cursed, his duty shifted. He joined the Alabaster Legion and governed deaths under ironic circumstances.

During the War, Necriel saw less action than other Fallen, as the Alabaster Legion served more of a backup role. Despite having less of a direct hand on the battlefield, his hands saw their own share of blood. This included both that of loyal angels and the humans that he had loved so much. He also collected the bodies of the slain humans, so that others could twist and warp them, fit them with relic weapons, and make obscenities from them that would make the future's Tzimisce war ghouls look like cuddly kittens. Despite his own efforts in the war, and that of the other rebels, his fate was ultimately sealed along with theirs. Having rejected the mercy of obliteration, he was cast into Hell, along with the rest, save, of course, for Lucifer.

Hell was an experience of seething agony and endless warfare. This would only change when the crack appeared in Hell, and he found himself among many of the lesser Fallen who were ordered to escape through the cracks. This would lead to an unexpected shift in perspective, as well as in goals, for by this time, his torment in Hell had drove him into such depravity that he sought nothing short of the destruction of all that God created, including humanity. How ironic, he thought it, that *everything* should die by the hand of one who had once put everything on the line in order to protect these pathetic creatures from their own innate stupidity. The merger that was to come would see that shift, and drastically.

(Hezekiah Crane)
Hezekiah Crane was born on 4-January-1984 to the wealthy and distinguished Crane family, who had a history of national service, both within the military and in politics. His family had members in the House of Lords, with some smaller parts of the family also within the House of Commons. Unsurprisingly, members of his family were also found among both the Torries and Labour. From an early age, he was instilled with a sense of pride in his English heritage; while he wound up not being the racist that his parents were, he did retain some sense of classism, although this was scant compared tho his upper-crust mother and father.

Hezekiah excelled in his schoolwork. From an early age, he became fascinated with espionage. There is little surprise here, between the exploits of so many of his family, and then his fictional heroes including the likes of the 3rd Doctor on Doctor Who, who had been portrayed by Jon Pertwee, who was, hismelf, something of a real-life 007, and, surprise, surprise, James Bond. By the age of 10, he knew that he wanted to be in MI6. He devoted his life, from that early of an age, to learning what he would need to carry on the family tradition of national service in this way.

Fresh out of college, Hezekiah made it in to the academy, where he, while not at the very top of his class, was close enough to stand out and guarantee himself the positon that he wanted. His esteemed family certainly had some bearing upon the decision for him to be accepted into the academy, but it was really by his own merit that he made it in to MI6. In the years to follow, Hezeikiah would serve with distinction in the ranks of the agency.

The year 2015 would see an end to the life of Hezekiah Crane, even if not to the best of the knowledge of nearly anyone else. Intelligence handed down to Hezekiah noted a jihadist cell operating in Manchester, attempting to radicalise young converts into the faith. He had been put on the trail of a Franklin Masters, who had taken the name, Ishmael, upon converting, and who had been radicalised while he was overseas. Hezekiah managed to track down Ishmael, but his cover was blown by a traitor, and Ishmael got to him before Hezekiah could be extracted.

Hezekiah was shot dead. He laid bleeding out, and that was when Necriel found the ginger agent. His hair went white, and his wounds instantly healed. That was the least terrifying thing that Ishmael witnessed at that lives-changing moment.

(The Merger Onward)
The life of Hezekiah played out in the mind of Necriel, who was suddenly snapped from the madness of his Torment. It didn't all go away, but with the greater majority of it purged from his soul, with the added outlook of the man that had been Hezekiah, he was filled with nothing but regret, starting from his short-sighted choice to follow the path of the rebels, to the atrocities that he committed in the War of Wrath. The thought of destroying the world returned, only at this point, it filled him with disgust and self-contempt.
\\He choked this back as well, as the lifetime of Hezekiah, which came to the moment of his death and Necriel's having taken possession of the man's body. Necriel manifested his apocalyptic form. Ishmael stared in horror at what was before him, begging Allah for his life, and the answer that he received was, “Allah does not hear your prayers; I do.” The man begged and pleaded, and the offer that he was given was simple, and to the point, that he would pledge himself to Necriel, to remain in his service until he has earned his redemption. Then and only then, would he be released from service, and for so long as he served him, never would he would be immune to the mental powers of Necriel's brethren, or any other otherworldly power that might otherwise be used to control him.

With the Pact sealed, the first command that he gave to Ishmael was that he was no longer Ishmael. He was no longer a Muslim, for he had forsaken that god. Neither would he use the tactics that the radicals had instilled in him. Instead, he would serve as a retainer. Hezekiah spent the first two years thereafter using his connections within the agency, and within his family, to clear the name of Franklin Masters. After this was done, Hezekiah stepped down from MI6, having gotten wind of some crackpots within that were sniffing around for the supernatural. He didn't want to risk coming to their attention, and it was time to take his skills private.

Having cited health reasons, he left MI6 in good standing. With Franklin as his employee, and being of some considerable means, wealthy, to be sure, even if that wealth paled when compared to many within his own family, he more than had the means to start a private security business. In addition to what money he and his siblings were granted by their parents upon graduation, as well as what he had from Hezekiah being frugal and having a family that helped him to invest wisely. He started Crane Security Measures in London, where he remained until 2019.

It was then that Hezekiah opted to apply for citizenship in the United States and move his business there, but he also kept it running in London, through Hezekiah's younger sister, Charlotte. This was to keep a secondary income stream, for sure, but mostly, it was a way of thanking Hezekiah, by leaving something for Hezekiah's favourite sibling, so that when he would leave England and start a new life in the United States, he would leave Hezekiah's sister - his sister - with a means to live with more than just what was handed down by the family. Having heard, from other Reconcilers in London, about the situation in Starke, he opted to move there. This was a quiet move. First, he established himself in Talahassee, finding it fitting that a company such as his should register in the capitol of the state. He laid low, staying out of the politics of the Fallen, while he worked entirely upon his brand.
Everything went well, and in January of 2022, he reached out to the Infernal Court of Starke, making it known to them that, sometime before the year was up, he would be moving to Starke, and that he would be opening the newest branch of his business within the city. Thus it is, that a couple of weeks into the month of September, Necriel, known to the mortal world as Hezekiah Crane, would come to Starke.
