PAGE UNDER CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION LIKELY TO CHANGE
Retainers are servants, assistants, or other people who are the vampires loyal and steadfast companions. When an action is The may also be people whom you’ve repeatedly Dominated until they have no free will left, or followers so enthralled with your Presence that their loyalty borders on blind fanaticism. You must maintain some control over your retainers, whether through a salary, the gift of your vitae, or the use of Disciplines. Retainers are never “blindly loyal no matter what” — if you treat them poorly without exercising strict control, they might well turn on you.
Retainers and Ghouls are not characters used for roleplay. They are a servant or assistant for your vampire. A specialist to do actions your vampire PC is unable to do or does not do well..
The number of dots perchased covers the number of Retainers any given PC may have, to a total of 5, or, alternatively, they may invest multiple points in this background into one Retainer, creating a far more impressive servant.
The rules for this are as follows:
Start with building a Mortal

Step Two: Select Attributes 6/4/3 Step Three: Select Abilities 13/9/5 (Nothing higher than three at this stage) Step Four: Select Advantages
(Max 3 dots in any one Background. Resources, more than 1 dot will lower the amount of time the Retainer can spend with the Vampire, they will have to work to pay for their home. Max 10 dots into Freebies)

This all said, there is one very important thing to keep in mind when you are creating, and further running your Retainers/Ghouls. All sheets must be submitted to the responsible Vampire STs, before the Retainer can be submitted.
Additionally, if it is discovered that you are abusing the Retainer rules as listed above, you will immediately lose access to all Retainers/Ghouls you have acquired thus far, and will be prohibited from acquiring any new Retainers for a period of time that the Vampire STs see fit.
