Aloof and a bit new to the world, but wise to the old ways.
Backstory:
Halfdan is a renegade. Cast out by his family he ended up in Starke almost by chance. As a practitioner of witchcraft he bucks against most magical rules, if only slightly. He's always looking for new insight into the old ways. He starts out as an outcast. Quickly finding a home in the council and working hard to become of use to the chantry that gave him a place to belong. Over time he will learn secrets about his bloodline, and have to face off with blood relatives that are intent on making sure that he is not the inheritor of a great power. Near the end of his normal play he learns what that power is, and seizes it, if only to keep the power out of the hands of his family who will abuse it.
