Physical Description:
Jack is a rather normal man. At six foot tall and average build. He ha a scar running along his head denoting some particularly nasty head trauma somewhere in his past. Other than that he's pretty non-descript.
Personality:
Analytical, intuitive, and calm. Sidiel is always focused on the task at hand. He always seems to know what people are going to say, and seems to have a ridiculous reaction rate. Almost as if he knows what's going to happen before it does.
Backstory:
Sidiel
Sidiel was unremarkable among his kind before the fall. He did what he was suppose to, and did not complain. He joined the rebellion more out of intuition than disagreement with the plan. Something felt off, and over time he came to trust his intuition that something horrible was coming. He didn't realize at the time that it was his actions and those of others that had given him the gut feeling he had about the plan.
Jack Langstrum Jack was a man with a purpose, a real reason for existing. He had wanted to be a cop his entire life, and had been in Panama City for several years before an opportunity arose. He had been attached to a federal case. He was suppose to just guard a crime scene but his gut intuition led him to find a piece of evidence the feds had missed. When asked about it he commented on what he thought it meant and he was right on that too. Jack had good intuition and better reasoning and the Feds asked him to join up. He became a US Marshal attached to DHS and the CCHT department. When a high profile trafficing ring was busted,it was Jack and his small team of marshals that would transport the traffickers to federal prison for holding and ensure that they were present at court hearings and trials.
This made him a target. And he didn't realize it but his family was too. When a high ranking cartel member was swept up in a bust Jack's family became a target. His wife and son were killed, and he was put in a coma.
Another chance: Both of them gained another chance. At first Sidiel had taken over a new host out of sheer survival instinct. But when Jack began talking to him Sidiel listened. It was the least he could do for stealing the man's body. He learned of Jack's loss, and his purpose and it breathed new life into Sidiel. Using his divine powers Sidiel helped Jack track down those responsible for the death of his family.
Jack and Sidiel learned that someone inside the government had leaked his info to the cartels for a big payday. They waterboarded him until he gave up everyone in the corrupt scheme. Then they cut out his intestines, nailed them to a tree, and made the guy walk until he collapsed. The other parties to the corruption didn't fair any better. He began walking up the chain of command in the cartel until they got to the man who had given the order to kill Jack's wife and son. Sidiel slaughtered the cartel head's entire family in front of him, made him watch, and then flew him out over the ocean, broke his neck, and left him to drown slowly.
Jack asked to die. To be free of a body that could no longer function. Of a life that had nothing left for him. And Sidiel told him he would if he wanted, but Sidiel would likely be dragged back to the pit if he granted this request. Jack found the strength to remain, but both of them needed purpose, a reason for existing.
From there the two had to decide what they were going to do with their lives. They decided that no one deserved to be the puppet or plaything of the cartels and that they would use Jack's knowledge and Sidiel's power to find and deal with trafficers, and since the government couldn't be trusted to do what was required, they would deal with them their way.
The government has noted multiple times that 'the trafficed seem to be getting the better of their traffickers more often'.
