Merits:

Spirit Sight (4)
You can see and hear all varieties of spirits, Fae, wraiths and similar entities. This Merit provides all of the advantages granted by the Merit Medium. Nevertheless, this ability is a mixed blessing. Seeing these beings is not a choice (Without also taking Dual perception); it is a normal part of your vision. You cannot help but see them. Being yelled at by an irate wraith who is shaking her fist in your face can be extremely distracting if you are attempting to hold a conversation with a Sleeper, and it's even worse if you are driving a car in bad weather!

Many shamans have this Merit, and shamans often look for people with Spirit Sight as potential students. Unfortunately, most Sleepers with this Merit conceal it poorly and instead end up in asylums.


Flaws:

Haunted (3)
You are haunted by an angry and tormented spirit. This spirit actively attempts to hinder you and does its utmost to vent its anguish upon you and anyone in your presence. The Storyteller determines the exact nature of the spirit, its powers, and whether or not it can eventually be laid to rest.

Low Alcohol Tolerance (1)
Alcohol goes straight to your head. Double any penalties you suffer from consuming alcohol.

Spiritually Noticeable (3)
Only characters who possess either the Medium or Spirit Sight Merit or a similar power can take this Flaw. Spirits automatically notice that mages with this Flaw can always perceive them. Unlike the Spirit Magnet Merit or Flaw, Spiritually Noticeable characters are known to be able to interact easily with spirits. While most spirits will ignore you, wraiths who need aid in the mortal world, nature spirits who are upset with environmental destruction and odd spirits who merely want to talk to a human will flock to you. These spirits may be annoyed, or they may be honestly friendly, but they all want something from you. While having spirits frequently hitting you up for favors can be annoying, having them do so when you are involved in some potentially hazardous activity can be extremely dangerous. Many characters with this Flaw either ward their dwellings against spiritual intrusions or make deals with one or more spirits to act as guardians.

Backstory

Physical Description:
Erdem is a young man with Asian features, and long black hair he usually ties up to a knot, revealing short sides. His eyes are dark, his skin fair.
He usually wears elegant but practical clothes.

Personality:
Erdem is a rather quiet person who stays away from people out of necessity, rather than choice. He is polite and calm, and rarely raises his voice.

Backstory:
Born in Mongolia, Erdem was adopted by a wealthy couple of real estate brokers living in New England shortly after his birth. His childhood went as one could think: private teacher, got everything money could buy, frequent high society functions like galas and banquets, and expectations to become their heir and follow their steps in the longtime family business. Despite that, he had loving parents who did care about him, and didn't miss a thing.

When he was a teen, he started to show interest in the occult and paranormal, especially the life or existence after death. Most of his free time he spent in libraries, bookstores and the internet to research the mysteries of the afterlife.

One day Erdem met an elderly Asian couple at a local library. They were friendly and talkative, and seemed to know about Erdem's interests. He found it odd, but politeness forbid him to ask about this.
He saw them several more times before they offered him their place for his studies, away from prying eyes. And their place could offer opportunities and knowledge not available in public. He accepted, albeit carefully. He's been knowing them for a little bit and they seemed to be genuine.

Another several months passed by before the couple made him another offer: during coffee they put up a small flask with a translucent liquid, which they said would give him the ability to experience death and what lies beyond the veil. They didn't pressure him, and a couple of weeks later, he drank the potion.

Thus began his life as Wu Tian, trained by the couple he learnt even more about the Underworld and its inhabitants, and the Immortal.
But soon afterwards side-effects started to show: He attracted other beings as well, most noticeably one wraith who would not go away no matter what Erdem did or said. And people started to avoid him at the same time, as if something would cling to him they cannot explain. Eventually he received visions of events happening in the South, and an unprecedented alliance between the Immortals and other supernatural beings. Soon afterwards he left for Florida.
