Physical Description:
Cosmo is 6'0“ mid 30s, brown hair and very dark pupils. He is fairly unimpressive physically. He wears pants, shirts and vests, if he is doing something of value to him, he will also wear his bowler and maybe a tie. Rarely clean shaven.

Personality:
Cosmo is a professional liar. He is a former barker for a circus thus he knows how to amp up a crowd using exaggeration. He has had to make his way through even when times were lean and he had to do things he didn't exactly feel proud to do, but he is still here today to tell you the tale… or a tale. He will do things for a laugh, even if it is inappropriate to do.

Backstory:
Picture it. Hoboken New Jersey, 1989 The carnival comes to town. Seven year old Cosmo Fernsby tired of being one of three… no wait nine kids in a house hold with a single parent trying to raise them, Cosmo and his make believe friend Pickles jump aboard a train car and join up with the circus.

From the ages of seven to nine years old, he spent his time working as the littlest clown. He brought joy to thousands up and down the east coast of the United States, until he… or rather Pickles came to the attention of Black Jack Jones, the mentalist for the circus. Black Jack who enjoyed the company of many a show attendee one night while taking a piss outside of his tent was startled by Cosmo who has been listening in on the evening's entertainment. Now while it may have been from the trigger of the drugs in Black Jack's system, or his own magical prowess, but he was able to see Pickles and was the only person who could describe exactly what he looked like to Cosmo.

Sometime after he was twelve, that Cosmo snuck into Black Jack's tent, and used some of his drugs… he too saw Pickles even more clearly and radiant than he ever had. The voices in head became crisp, clear and concise. Pickles told him how to see… no really see the world as it was. He could see emotions from people… he could target the very best of the individuals would would give money.

He was caught by the very same man that set him upon his course. He was explained the basic tenants of mage craft and aided in learning how to do things far greater than just see emotions. This happened twice more under the influence of narcotics and then Pickles disappeared, he has not seen him since. After that he came to see things very differently. Black Jack lead him on a path of senses, emotions and sight that no longer made sense to the normal man.

Soon his skills in mind surpassed that of his master. They made pitstops at other chantries during the travels with the circus, Cosmo grew up to be a man, a very swarmy man who used his abilities to line his own pockets. When Black Jack felt it was time to stop travelling, he took over his position in the circus as the Mentalist, the amazing Cosmo… he would read minds, hypnotize people to seeing terrible monsters or great things in front of thousands. If he had actually worked for a good circus he might have actually been famous, but the Vaspushi Brothers carnival was less than reputable.

The week of St. Patrick's Day 2021, the carnival came to town, or more specifically the carnival came to town, left and deposited Cosmo here… in Jacksonville Florida. Sadly, to their dismay, a good chunk of cash was missing unexplained from their cash box either. (Boosting Cosmo to Resources 3 for a year from that it would be natural after that - freebie points)
