Legend follows that it was previously the site of a Caloosa graveyard that was destroyed to make way for the manor. The Caloosa people were angered by this and put a curse on the house. The house owner simply laughed at this and continued to live his life. A few weeks later, the house owner was found dead in his study. His blood drained from his body, and his eyes were missing from their sockets.
