Unified Rules for Running Multisplat

Approaching the game:

Ok from the outset as an ST you have to be ready to juggle if you want to run multisplat.  The Houserules cover a lot of the stuff needed to make the splats work together.  But above and beyond that, you have to realize something.

These systems were not meant to be run together.

Yea, White Wolf Shit the bed a long time ago, and we're still cleaning up after them.

That said.  There are things we can do to make the systems work together.  The first thing we have to do is make sure that everyone's on the same page.  That's what this page is for.  So bookmark it.

How to Approach Multisplat:

There are two ways to approach this kind of thing.  You can either houserule it to death, and try to cover all of the rules that disagree with eachother, or you can have a philosophy that all STs follow that gives you a mindset for how things interact.

We're going with the latter.  Cause the former kills games.  No one's memory is that good.

So to approach multisplat you have to understand that NO ONE RULESET TAKES PRECEDENCE.  ESPECIALLY YOURS.

Approach the table with the understanding that you are going to run into rules that don't mesh well.  EXPECT IT.  When you run into that situation, STOP and look at the interaction.  If you need, ping an ST from that splat, if you can't, make a decision and point out OOC that you are making an executive decision and then move on.

That being said.  We have a big long list of house rules.

The single hardest point of contention is combat.  Which is where things carry the most weight.  That being said we're going to go over a consistent set of rules for combat so we're all on the same page when init is rolled.
