Supernatural powers in the area around Starke are akin to a powder keg. Waiting for a spark to set something off. As a whole things are relatively stable, but it only takes a push for something to fall over. The supernatural forces are better seen as individuals than as a cohesive whole.

The Amenti

The immortals are always moving, always working, and determined. With the fall of Port Sinclair many of their interests have fled to the mainland, settling near Starke. The spiders of the sand and the unbound scroll have operatives and own property in the area, as do the Eset-a and the Ashukhi corporation. The Hand of Thoth has operatives in the area and is actively seeking Caibri to convert. Notable NPCs

The Vampires

Ever scheming in their endless nightly game of bloody chess, three regional kindred powers vie for the city's control. Gaious Green, the Camarilla Sheriff in Lake city wants to grab the city back for his master, Judas Illirium, the Prince of Tallahassee. Antony Marks, the Sabbat Princeps of Gainesville, now Arch-Bishop, who invaded successfully this fallen Camarilla city, has put his eyes, and claws, towards this key triangular frontier of Starke, all while the Charismatic Lukas Nate is brewing a local Anarch Movement. The former Prince of Gainseville, Antonin Demeskin, seeks to make a master strike, regain control of Gainesville and usurping Tallahassee.

The Hunters

For most mortals, Starke is but a dot on the map. To the few who live there, though, it is home. Those whose eyes are opened by the Heralds recognize that friends, family, and loved ones are affected in many different ways by the underlying currents of the supernatural world, even if few Imbued truly agree on the best way to fix the problem and Inherit the Earth.

The Changeling

Rightfully the seat of a Count, the local Kith population has not yet been appointed one by the Duke, seating in Jacksonville. Nominally owing him their due, non of them have yet bend the knee, but are largely left to their own device. The local community, centred mostly in Starke's historical district, has a strong anti-feudalism sentiment.
