Description
A relatively recent House, insofar as the history of Clan Tremere is concerned, the Daughters of the Crone were founded by three sisters; Anne, Mary and Elizabeth. In an age where women were bought and sold, given off to suitors for the sake of ensuring prosperity for their fathers and husbands alike, these three women made the most of their status; the access for which allowed them to study the pagan arts, which, eventually, allowed them contact with a wise and powerful spirit by the name of ‘The Goddess’. This Goddess showed them a new path - one that led to an old Victorian manor home, where they met the woman who would Embrace them into Clan Tremere.
Since then, Anne, Mary and Elizabeth have taken up positions as the three matriarchs of the Daughters of the Crone - representing the three ‘facets’ of The Goddess; that of crone, mother and maiden. In this vein, so too, are the members of this House divided into the castes of the Crones; those wisest and most ancient of the House, the Mothers; those of age and experience enough to teach and recruit, and the Maidens, those newest to the House.
