BIO:

"I tend the wildlife and their habitats, make sure dumb tourists don't get lost in the woods or try to pet an alligator... or even more dumb things than that... I tell you, if I have learnt anything at all during this work, it is that the stupidity of people never ceases to amaze."

NOTES:

Twitch: Has tendency to tap her foot, like rabbits are known to do.

Realm Affinity: Nature

Revelry: Nature holds a certain forbidden allure for humans. Once they are safely away from the glare of civilization’s lights, people might indulge in behavior that would be too embarrassing in front of the rest of society, such as singing songs around a campfire or walking naked under the light of a full moon. These sorts of acts contain Glamour, which a wolpertinger can gather if she can convince a human to participate.

Unleashing: A wolpertinger’s Unleashing always contains the essence of the natural world. It may be tinged with the scent of fresh blossoms or the stench of a skunk’s spray. Her Unleashing might take the form of thousands of vines strangling her target or the relentless torrent of water from a creek flooding its banks.

Birthrights: Voracious Grazing: As chimera, competition for Glamour was fierce. They developed a method of quickly consuming as much Glamour as possible. When a wolpertinger gains Glamour from a freehold, she gains one additional point of Glamour. Prey Alertness: Before they were Kithain, wolpertinger were prey animals hunted for their Glamour. To survive, they developed a keen situational awareness. Any attempts to sneak up on or surprise a wolpertinger by mundane means automatically fail. Additionally, she gains a –2 difficulty to see through magical means of deception.

Frailty: Unquenchable Appetite: What was once a survival mechanism is now a liability. A wolpertinger takes Glamour from freeholds faster than the balefire can replenish itself. For every week she spends in a freehold, its rating is reduced by one. If the wolpertinger leaves the freehold before it’s reduced to zero, the freehold regains its rating by one dot per week.

House Boon: Those swearing fealty to House Fiona are truly courageous, and fear holds no power over them. Even in the face of certain defeat, Fiona’s legendary reckless bravery continues to shine. As such, any attempt to generate fear in them, magical or natural, automatically fails. The only thing that can truly inspire fear in a member of Fiona is a direct threat to the life and safety of her lover; these attempts are not subject to automatic failure.

House Flaw: Fiona’s passions easily become obsessions, and their recklessness in the face of peril quickly transforms into seeking out danger for danger’s sake. A sidhe of this house finds ways to make even the more mundane passions, like food or drink, into hazardous activities — she’s the one eating the deadly fugu sashimi or challenging the troll twice her size to a drinking contest. In romance, especially, Fiona’s passionate nature attains lofty heights, with epic love affairs that often end in tragedy. When a member of House Fiona backs down from a challenge in order to avoid risk, they lose one Willpower.

Equipment
Fae Mail (rating 3, no dex penalty, chimerical) Oaken Staff (difficulty 6, Dmg Str+2)

HISTORY:

Character Description: A young woman, she seems to be in quite good shape overall, moving with noticeable grace in her steps, like a gymnast. She has average looks, with red somewhat wild seeming hair and face decorated with freckles. She likes to dress for outdoors, sturdy boots, a pair of pants and a shirt and jacket, and most often has a backpack slung on her back and a simple traveler's staff at hand.

Fae mein: While her overall stature and build stays more or less the same, a number of notable changes happen from her regular appearance, she now has the legs of a hare, her clothes have changed to look like something out from a fairy tale, including a gorgeous silvery chainmail protecting her body, though not seeming to really slow her down at all, and, perhaps most strikingly, her face is now a curious mix of human and lapine features, and comes complete with a pair of antlers, like those of an elk, jutting from the sides of her head.

HISTORY

"I. Hate. Winter. I am serious, why does winter even exist? It is like an annual curse descending on the land, strangling all life and mirth from the world, and making everything so dark and gloomy... and cold! But, as I always do try to see the bright side of things, there is one positive quality to winter, which is that Spring follows after it is over, and Spring is my favorite time of the year and... what?! No! It has nothing to do with the Easter Bunny, just because I share some physical qualities with rabbits does not mean that... gaahh! Never mind! How about I tell you a story instead?"

Susan Raines was an odd one as a child, always very keen with her senses, and curious to explore, though she never seemed to really connect with the other kids, in fact, it didn't seem like she was even -trying- that much, but preferred to do her own things, which usually involved exploring the wild places, as much as you could call anything wild near the farmlands where her family lived. Her parents worried for her safety nonetheless, as there was still a chance of there being dangerous animals in the nearby forests, but Susan never worried, in fact, she loved the company of animals of all kinds, and often pilfered some treats to smuggle out to bring them, and the animals seemed to share these notions towards her, as even the predators were never aggressive towards her, and while she never learned to literally speak with them, there still was undeniable understanding between her and the wildlife.

It was during one of these journeys into the woods, she isn't fully sure of the exact date, as she has never really been that good in keeping track of boring things, like numbers and dates, what is it with the obsession most people seem to have in catalogueing everything anyways? Anyways, where was I? Ah yes! During one of her adventures into the woods, Sarah met the knight, and no, it was not a white knight, or a black knight... or a knight of any particular color for that matter, though if you must know, he does have silvery hair. He also had a regal, almost otherworldly quality to him in general, which I suppose many people might consider odd, they might even think they are going insane, but that again is product of this... disorder people have of cataloguing everything, I heard it was not always so... once upon a time people welcomed wonder and mystery, but nowadays, most people are just plain boring!

Not Sarah though, you see, she was happy to see the knight, despite never having really gotten along with people, she felt a kinship to him, so much so that she started asking him all kinds of questions, questions that had been long puzzling her, questions that she had never felt safe to ask from anyone else, some of which probably were somewhat awkward, but to his credit, the knight, let us call him Sir Wilhelm for now, endured through her curiosity, and rather than answering each one individually, motioned her over to a nearby pond, and pointed down to the water's surface. Sarah was puzzled, how could she find waters from the pond? She had been by this pond countless times before, tossed rocks into it, poked the water, watched many of her animal friends drink from it, what mysteries could it still hold that she had not already discovered? Fortunately though, Sarah was one who enjoyed mystery and appreciated wonder, rare qualities in this cold winter world indeed.

Gazing down to the water's surface, she only saw her own reflection, at first, which she had of course seen many times before, what kind of trick was this now... wait? Something was weird, it was her reflection, and yet it wasn't! Her features were different, different than she remembered from seeing herself from a mirror countless times. Slowly, she reached her hands up to feel her face, her nose was like that of a rabbit now, and she had horns! Alright fine, technically, antlers, but to a young girl, especially facing such a shocking revelation, small technicalities like that did not make much difference. It was at that moment, when her hands reached up to grasp the bases of the antlers at the sides of her head when the memories all flooded to her! Memories of great, fantastic, and terrifying places and creatures, memories that a young girl could not possibly have, because she was more than just a young girl, she was one of the Kithain!

Now, I will not go over every little detail or we would be here whole day... and probably the following day too for that matter, but the knight taught her the ways and to dos and do nots and all that stuff, and much to young Sarah's dismay, once it was all over, she learned that she could not, in fact, just live the rest of her life in a fairy tale, but had to continue as part of the human society, but whenever there was an opportunity he taught her more, she became his squire, at first mostly in her mind, but eventually, officially, you see Wilhelm is a Sidhe of house Fiona, one of the Knights of Sathar. Sarah's dedication and passion impressed him so much he did indeed make the Wolpertinger his squire and she took well into the knightly training, even though, instead of the more traditional sword, she chose a staff as her weapon of choice, as she is against the idea of spilling Kithain blood if it can be avoided, and staff allows her to subdue enemies non-lethally so they can be rightfully judged by the court.

In the boring world instead, this newfound purpose and goal motivated her to finish school and then seek out a profession that would not only be interesting and fun, but also let her keep as much connection to her animal friends as possible, and also do some good at the same time by protecting the few remaining wild places, and so she became a park ranger. Our story is starting to near it's end... such as it is, as the story is still being written, and no definite ending exists, but it should be noted that recently, after saving the life of a noble lady under her charge by thwarting an assasin, she was elevated to being a full-on knight herself, Dame Susan Lapin, at your service. I must soon bid you farewell however, for I have been asked to venture to Starke, Florida, where a brand new freehold is being constructed, to offer my services and make sure nothing bad befalls on this nascent sanctuary of our kind, for they are precious, so if you want to still try to be funny with bunny jokes, you are going to have to find someone else, try a Pooka?
