Bio

Lost their parents when they were young, spent a significant amount of time alone and especially in graveyards believing they could talk to ghosts. Eventually they became an investigator and met their death falling rotted floor before being attacked by some drug dealers in an old apartment. They were reaped by a Ferryman until the Legion of Fate claimed them.

NOTES:

Eqiupment:
Two or three sets of plasm clothing, a cavalry saber, a fairly well-decorated haunt in the form of a transported mausoleum.

HISTORY:

As with all of those chosen by the Lady of Fate, Rain Lenore has led a storied and interesting life. Never once able to rest or calm down, they were always in the middle of a story it seemed. Always engaging in what happened around them, even if not with other people. Rain began their life in memory as an orphaned child in the foster care system of Baltimore, Maryland. They rarely fit in to a household for long, always quiet and contemplative and with their nose deep in a book the moment they could read. Once the names of their parents were revealed along with the double suicide (not intended for the young child's ears but nevertheless those ears found it anyway) they began to visit their parent's graves. Entombed side by side in a small mausoleum paid for by a mysterious third party and always filled with strange objects, Rain would spend hours a day after school reading books to their parent's graves. Sometimes, just sometimes, they could hear other voices whispering in passages of the novel of the week.

High school was for the most part a blur; vague flirtatious romances and few close friends meant Rain spent all the more time in the graveyards speaking to those they knew best; the wraith that occupied the location. Rain discovered later on that they were a Deathwalker; a medium destined to become a wraith. This knowledge, of course, came after their caul was removed. College was night classes and internships with a sleazy man pretending to be a parapsychologist and private investigator; a holdover of an aesthetic that Rain adored but poisoned by someone only appropriating it for cash and sidebar tabloid fame. And this man, Arthur Lestrade, was viciously angry that a lanky 20 something could actually speak to ghosts. And even more angry that Rain wouldn't allow it to be abused for money.

So one night when wrapping up in torrential downpour, Arthur ducked Rain into his car and held a gun to their head. They drove, admonishing them for their foolishness while glimpses of scared wraith flitted by in windows and mirrors. Rain's single hourglass tattoo burned with pain, rotating on their wrist as the inky sand poured down. Arthur led Rain up to one of the top floors of a dilapidated apartment complex and aimed the gun, threatening to fire. And just as the bullet left, the subtle jump in Rain's heart was enough to break the rotted floorboards. The bullet missed, but crashing through 4 stories of wood and tiles didn't.

Rain slowly came to, and began the reaping in an interesting manner; a Ferryman was standing there in blackened robes waiting for them. It instructed them on the few rules of the dead they didn't know, comforted and consoled the young person struggling to cope with a destiny to only die. Slowly but surely they adjusted until they were released into the care of the Legion of Fate; a grasp that no other local representatives contested. They practiced their new arts and found a safe, if highly secret home among the Mnemoi being hidden by the Lady herself and continues to search for truth and mystery on behalf of Fate. Their current investigations bring them to Starke, Florida, where there seems to be not quite a tangled web of strands but certainly not a clear arrangement. They look forward to seeing exactly what it is.
