Description:

Nadia is 26 years old. Not too angular or striking in her features, with the exception of icy-blue eyes and black hair against her pale skin, Nadia isn’t one to always draw attention in larger groups. She's not 'beautiful' by any means-- she knows this; pretty by most standards, average by the harsher ones. She often wears clothes for their practicality and comfort-- combat boots, jeans and sweaters in the winter and autumn months and tank tops and sneakers for the summer, rarely wearing skirts or dresses at all unless its a special occaision. She is 5'5" with a well trained, slim body-- arms and legs deceptively strong and hands well trained with weapons, though it doesn't show.

BIO:

Born in Jacksonville to two cops, Nadia was raised around police officers. Having picked up self defense, Nadia beat her boyfriend to a pulp when he assaulted her, though a lack of witnesses of evidence to convict him saw him walk free and her kicked from school. At 17, she moved to Gainsville by herself to get away from Jacksonville and from the ex. She reenrolled and got into the University of Florida, meeting Gabriel Montigue in her freshman year, a future friend and partner. When Gabriel left for the army, Nadia tried to move on-- to some success, as she eventually found a job and boyfriend, Jackson White, by the time she was 26 (though, admittedly, Jackson was a bit of an alcholic, and more than a bit verbally abusive at times). At that point, Gabriel had returned, and threw her off balance more than a little. Walking home from a coffee shop with Jackson and Gabriel, Nadia was Imbued just before a vampire attacked and killed Jackson. "SILENCE THE BEAST." Nadia did just that and detroyed the creature that had ended her boyfriend's life, only realizing that something had changed within her when she cut through the beast's neck like butter with only a knife.

HISTORY:

Nadia was born to two police officers, Anton and Sasha Ivanov, in Jacksonville, Florida. The couple raised their daughter much in the vein of their own work, training her in self defense and firearms and always making sure that she could handle a crisis situation. When she was 16, she had decided to become a police officer like her parents, much to the local force's excitement-- their first legacy! A year later, Nadia's plans came to a crashing halt when her then-boyfriend assaulted her, she thoroughly kicked his ass, and she was kicked out of school for what some called 'unprovoked and entirely excessive violence' on campus. Even with her parents and family friends in positions of authority, she wasn't able to get justice for what had happened to her-- there had been no cameras, no witnesses, and the only one with any signs of injury was the boyfriend.

At 17, Nadia moved to a nearby Gainsville to live on her own, away from the police system that had failed her and from her ex. She enrolled in a new high school, achieved moderate success and made her way to the University of Florida. While touring the campus in her senior year at highschool, she met one Gabriel Montigue, a sophomore enrolled in the school's ROTC program. They became close friends when she eventually went to the Univeristy, and later romantically involved. At the end of the ROTC program, when he was being deployed for service, Nadia made the decision the end things in hopes that she wouldn't have to be worried about him when he was gone... She was wrong, and for the longest time she lived almost everyday afraid that she'd never see her best friend again. So worried that even when she dropped out of the college only a few months before graduation, all she could think about was how she had ended things with him. Years passed and the pain eventually faded, and life for Nadia resumed in Gainesville. She no longer wanted to be a police officer, having experienced firsthand how often the law isn't *actually* enforced. Instead, she found work doing jobs for individual clients-- hunting predators off of rural properties, moving furniture for moving companies, and even retail. By the time she turned 26, she had come to work exclusively in an arms shop just outside of Starke-- a bit of a commute, but worth it for the discount she got on firearms...

With her new live-in boyfriend, Jackson White, Nadia was finally happy, with the exception of when Jackson would have too much to drink and would drive her to near tears... B-But when he was sober, she was content... Then she met Gabriel again. And he had changed-- not in any bad way, but she couldn't place the feeling that something was just... different. Of course, he didn't seem to get along with Jackson, either. However, when they were coming back from a coffee shop together-- Nadia has insisted that her best friend and her boyfriend got to know each othe
