Mikasi "Walking Funny"

Leader of the Starke Sept, Elder of the Uktena Tribe, Ragabash, Alpha

Mikasi, known most often simply as 'Walking Funny' is a werewolf of singular talent and power within his tribe and within the greater Garou Nation as a whole. He is ancient, even for a werewolf, and covered in scars from his many battles. His deed name came from the challenge that earned him the rank of Andren, in which his opponent accidentally landed a rather badly aimed haymaker that struck Mikasi in the groin. He walked it off and won the challenge, earning him his rank, and his deed name.

He would later take that name, given to him in jest, and build his personality around it. Mikasi is a man who thinks differently. If your life is a path that you must walk, he walks his path 'funny'.

He is an UKtena, and a Ragabash. So rules are more guidelines to him, though he enforces the litany as vehemently as any Alpha. Despite that he is seen as a bit of a rogue among the other garou. He concerns himself more with results, than hidebound adherence to the litany. More than once he has conflicted with his peers for the way he runs his sept, and every time he has come out of such conflicts on top.

His Sept has, as such, been seen by others as a bit of a rogue. They still fight the wyrm, and do well at confronting it, but they are frowned upon for their methods, over being praised for their results.

Walking Funny's pack is known as the Wind Changers and consists of.

Walking Funny - Pack Alpha - Uktena Ragabash
Wanda 'Remembers the Turtle' - Uktena Theurge
Konsu 'Flays the worm' - Uktena Ahroun(Deceased)
'Reads the Wind - Uktena Lupus Philodox(Deceased)

His pack was decimated roughly twenty years ago in a battle against the wyrm, leaving only Walking Funny and Remembers the Turtle. The battle was the last he participated in before reaching the rank of elder, and he is deeply troubled at the loss of Konsu and Reads the Wind even to today.

The litany failed the Lilly Sept that day, as it prevented them from taking actions that they needed to take to win the battle. And many lives were lost in the process. The wyrm won a great victory and only the sacrifice of half the sept's elders saved the younger Garou at the sept. Uktena himself had to intervene and bring garou to save the decimated sept.

The remaining leadership of his sept are made of those that came after him. As most of his sept's elders were killed in the lost battle against the wyrm. It took years for them to trust Walking Funny, but now they are loyal to him because they have seen his power, his wisdom and his devotion to gaia.

Shortly after rising to lead the Sept he came at odds with Antonin Demeskin, as the two could not come to terms over territory that both needed. In the end Walking Funny won enough skirmishes to push Antonin to Gainesville

With the advent of the Starke Council, the two were able to work together against the Sabbat, having respected eachother's prowess as leaders for decades.

Personality

Walking Funny is a man of great wisdom and patience. He has learned to wait for opportune moments, and to strike hard when they present themselves. As such he is not nearly as reactionary as the other Garou. His sept is cold, calculating, and willing to bend the rules when needed to get results. As such he has repeatedly come at odds with other tribes and septs. But his sept's past successes have kept him out of the crosshairs of the garou nation's leadership. He is a shrewd politician that can easily navigate that unstable landscape.

Walking Funny is first and foremost a teacher. His goal is to teach other Garou how to survive in an ever changing world, and which dark secrets are useful, and which must be locked away forever. He understands that physical punishment isn't always the best way to discipline a young cliath or fostern, but isn't afraid to use it if he has to. He is a thinker, and far more cunning than most give him credit for
