This phylactery blade is bound heavily to the power Sutekh before he fell to Apophis. The powers of the desert, of fire, of chaos.
The first power granted by the blade is to draw out the power of Sutekh. The blade begins to glow brightly when the wielder's Khaibit is in control, like in battle or in times of extreme stress. The damage dealt by the blade when it is empowered is aggravated and considered fire based.
The second power of this blade is tied to Sutekh's position as a god of war. When activated by spending 3 sekhem the wielder becomes an avatar of Sutekh's remaining uncorrupted power. Meeting the gaze of this terrifying avatar of war can cause even the bravest warrior to flee in abject terror. Any enemy that looks you in the eyes while this effect is active must succeed in an opposed roll. Their willpower vs your dots in Khaibit or Balance, whichever pool is greater. Both rolls are at difficulty 6. If you win, the target is struck with fear and must flee. Imbued with conviction active, and the fallen are immune to this effect, but few other things are. A loss on the roll causes the effect to end, and another 3 sekhem must be spent to reestablish it.
Lastly the phylactery can store sekhem, as all Phylactery can. The device functions as a vessel with a maximum capacity equal to five times the wielder's balance score.
