Hateya is an extremely short and physically unimpressive woman in her late 20's possibly 30. She stands just over four foot tall with dark tan skin and long black hair that mark her Native American heritage. Her clothing is usually very utilitarian and almost always second hand.

Hateya is often seen with a small possum that she often carries in a pocket or on her shoulder.
