Once you dig past his nervous demeanor, Pawel appears to be a well spoken and well-read individual, with an intimate knowledge on biblical lore, of which he is eager to share with others. **Backstory:**\\ In the beginning, when God first laid his eyes upon the universe and granted it light, Pheniel was a key part in birthing that light, as all of his angelic brothers were. In the glory of God, all things were bright and strife was no where to be found. Eventually, of course, as all biblical stories go, there came a time of doubt. A time of uncertainty in what the future held. When Pheniel's most revered brother, Lucifer, came to him and all the other angels, he couldn't believe what he'd heard. How could God, the Almighty Creator, abandon his great work without so much as a whimper? No. He couldn't believe it. He confided in his brothers on his doubts of Lucifer, but alas, as this tragic story goes, his brothers convinced him. God was wrong. Humanity must be defended, they must learn to arm themselves! So, the angels went to work. Teaching, studying, adapting. They prepared for every outcome, every contingency that God and his might could muster. Then, the war began. It was unfathomable. Incomprehensible. Pheniel joined the fighting as one of the Ebon Legion. Waging their war as one of the many who sought to lead the humans. Of course, the first battles predated war itself, so the angels did not do much more than hinder one another. Casting great storms, fueling great infernos. This went on until Caine, progeny of Adam and Eve, enacted the first murder, and thus, war and violence was born. The humans the Luciferans vowed to safeguard went to war like lambs to the slaughter. Oh how glorious it was. Early, naive humans throwing themselves to the elements with no regard, no concept of recourse. Pheniel commanded as a member of the Ebon Legion in this era. Sending hoards to die in droves - and he *reveled* in it. An indescribable feeling of pride and pleasure overcame his nature. These petty humans, they're not for saving, they're for *slaughtering*. As the battles waged on over the unknown eras of ancient history, the war became clear: Lucifer and his band of ravenous dogs stood no chance. Battle after battle, loss after loss. This only enraged the Luciferans, and by extension, Pheniel, further. They could not bare the thought that they might lose - that is until Michael, the Archangel, unveiled himself. In an instant, Pheniel's mind had snapped into a realization. There would be no victory. His actions were of his own making, a monster of biblical proportions. Before Pheniel could repent, however, him and his corrupted siblings were cast out. In a flash, where there was once light and warmth, there was nothing but cold and darkness. Trapped in the Abyss, beneath the very essence of the Umbra, Pheniel had nothing but time to think, and so he did. Eons pass, and Pheniel's regret only festers. An unquenchable desire for redemption boils at him, and like destiny: His opportunity arises. In the wake of the Sixth Great Maelstrom, a crack unveils itself within the Abyss. A hint of grey in a sea of black nothingness. Pheniel seizes his opportunity, bursting forth from the Abyss and hurdling like a meteor towards Earth. He must act fast. He can feel himself waning, the pull of the Abyss stretching his very essence. He spots his mark: Pheniel scans over the landscape, identifying a key host: Pawel Piasecki; son of Polish immigrants, Pawel was raised in a very orthodox family. Raised so much so, that Pawel began to take in the scripture more than other children at his mass. Finding a kinship with religion, Pawel opted to dedicate his life to the Good Word. Devoting himself wholeheartedly, even at the sacrifice of his social life, much to his own detriment. After devoting so much of his time to reading the good book and taking in its teachings, an unfortunate ailment began to take hold: Schizophrenia - unfortunately a predominant trait on his father's side of the family. Pawel began to hear voices and see visions of what he would describe as the Voice of God, but we know better... Sent by his parents to a mental institution after he failed an attempt to sacrifice the family dog, Pawel would spend the next few years undergoing rigorous treatments, all of which were none too pleasant. Years struggling, not an ounce of progress showing, eventually the treatments took a toll on Pawel, causing him to enter a comatose state, but his soul still remained. This was Pheniel's opportunity. Seizing this perfect acclamation of time, Pheniel bursts into Pawel's mortal form. In an instant, Pheniel and Pawel are now synced, with Pheniel doing most of the driving.
